Remember that Windows allows only 1 connection at the time between a USB-MIDI device and a software. Make sure all other MIDI applications are closed before you are trying to connect the controller to your DAW.

If the device turns on (red LEDs are on and you can change the switches positions) but it is not recognized by the computer there is most likely a configuration or OS related issue.

Please try:

• another USB cable
• another USB port
• if possible another computer or OS.

Removing the device drivers:

If it shows up as an unknown device or with a yellow exclamation mark in the device manager, do the following:

• Unplug the controller
• Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager to open it
• Expand the Sound, Video and game controllers section
• If the SFC-8 is not listed in that section, also look in the Universal Serial Bus controllers section
• Right-click the SFC-8 and select Uninstall device.
• Restart your computer
• Plug in the controller
• Windows will automatically reinstall the necessary drivers
