The Legend is extending on the original Minimoog interface and adding many extra features such 6 oscillators and a complex modulation matrix. A “Legend HZ” plugin mode is trying to make the controller as compatible as possible but of course it cannot compensate for all the missing physical controls.

To start, set the controller to the “Legend HZ” plugin mode using the control panel.

Controlling oscillators 4/5/6

In this plugin mode, the SHIFT switch will unlock alternative CCs on the same channel for the oscillator section and mixer (oscillators volumes), instead of sending messages of an alternative MIDI channel as it does other plugin modes. The SHIFT switch gives you the capability to control oscillators sections and mixer levels for oscillators 4/5/6 using the oscillators 1/2/3 physical controls on the controller. Keep the Oscillators ON/OFF switches on for all the oscillators, and use the mixer section to bring them in or out.

Please note

Tactile switches are not releasing alternative CCs because they are not enough CC numbers and another channel is not considered to be a different message.

The USER3 and USER4 pots can be used either for the release controls of the VCA and Filter, or for selected FINE tune controls of the oscillators, alternative CC is also unlocked with the SHIFT switch.
